I slept in knowing it would be the last time I got to do that for a while. Afterwards I headed over to check out a new area overlooking a nice canyon. From there I could hear 5 bulls bugling back and forth! This is going to be my “Plan B” area if the first spot doesn’t pan out. From there, I headed back to camp and got my bow dialed in.
My good friend and cameraman, Doug Kerska, from Minnesota and his brother Dan, from Michigan, arrived at 4PM to join me on the hunt. My hunting partner, Wade Porter, is bringing up his camper from Mesa, AZ to let me use since he tagged out on a nice bull in NM a few days ago.

It will be a great experience for both Doug and Wade who each have 11 points saved for this unit right now. Wade arrived about 9 PM and we set the camper up. Opening morning is only a few hours away!!!
