After waiting another five,  looooooonnnggg hours we went back to where we left off.  It had been over seven hours since the bull was hit and he should of been pretty sick or dead by now.  We started out and still there was no blood anywhere.  With the amount of pine needles in the area following tracks was impossible so all we could do is creep along in hopes of finding another speck of blood.  After covering another 50 yards or so I looked up and saw a “log” that looked out of place.  I brought my binos up and saw hair blowing in the breeze…there was my bull laying another 50 yards up the trail!

Man was I relieved! There is nothing worse than wounding an animal and not being able to find it.  A closer look proved we did the right thing by leaving him alone.  Although he was stiff, he had milled around in his bed for a while beforing expiring.

So there it is, my 2010 Arizona bull!  What an incredible hunt and well worth the 10 years it took to draw the tag.  Thanks for following along and best of luck to all of you.
