Elk101.com – July Newsletter
Hello Elk Hunters!
Happy 4th of July! Elk season is now less than 2 months away…I think we can officially start the countdown! June was a phenominal month at Elk101.com, and we want to thank each of you for being a part of the excitement! Traffic on the website has exploded and we’ve been receiving some GREAT suggestions on how we can make it even better. If you have ideas for features, ways to make the site more user-friendly, anything at all, please drop us a line anytime.
The launch of the Elk Hunting Webisodes on June 1st was a big hit and we’re excited to bring you the line-up of great hunts we’ll be featuring over the next 11 months. Webisode #2 is now live on the website, so be sure to visit the Webisode page and follow along as Bugling Bull Game Call Pro Staff member, Lance Sellers, chases monster bulls on a public land archery hunt in southern Idaho.
The FREE Elk Hunt Giveaway with Winterhawk Outfitters is up and running. I’ve spoken with the owner of Winterhawk Outfitters, Larry Amos, several times in the past month…what a GREAT guy and a GREAT operation! Anyone looking for a place to elk hunt in Colorado should seriously consider Winterhawk for an unguided drop-camp or guided elk hunt! If you haven’t already done so, be sure to get signed up to win the FREE Elk Hunt…simply go to the “Win a FREE Elk Hunt” tab under the “Online Store” tab at Elk101.com and enter your name, e-mail, and zip code. Also be sure to check out the 2010 line of Sitka Gear in the online store and increase your odds with a purchase!
Speaking of the Online Store, we’ve added a few high-quality products, including a full line of elk decoys by Montana Decoy. We’ve also added an awesome line of water filtration bottles and straws (be sure to check these out for backpack hunters!), and we’ll be adding the all-new Contour HD “helmet-style” video cameras soon – amazing 4 ounce video cameras that record in full 1080p HD …we’ll have these strapped to our hats this fall to bring a “through-the-eye-of-the-hunter” perspective to our hunting footage! They’re small enough to fit in your pocket for high-quality HD video footage wherever you go…never miss that “once-in-a-lifetime” experience again! The really cool part is that they sell for only $329, and like everything in the Elk101.com Store, they ship for FREE!
Lastly, be sure to check out the “Events” section for the latest schedule of upcoming “Extreme Elk Hunting” classes throughout July. We have classes scheduled in Boise, Idaho and Peoria, Arizona (just outside of Phoenix). The classes require pre-registration and seating is limited, so be sure to get signed up today! The price of the classes has been redued by 50% this year and we’re running a “4-pack” special…Four adults for $100! To make it even sweeter, if you register for the “4-Pack” deal, you’ll be entered into a drawing for a FREE Sitka Bivy 45 pack. Only those who register with the “4-Pack” deal will be eligible! Everyone who registers for the Boise classes will receive a FREE diaphragm elk call, Extreme Bulls 6 DVD (just released), and more!
With the generous amounts of moisture we’ve been receiving across the West this spring and summer, 2010 is shaping up to be another great year for elk hunting! See you in the mountains!
