Contest Details:
Grab your calls, blow the dust off your bugles, and enter the 2011 Elk101.com Internet Elk Calling Contest! Elk Calling Contests are a big hit across the west, but work and travel limitations often prevent many elk hunters from showing off their calling skills…until now! The rules are simple, anyone can enter, and we have some GREAT prizes to give away! Plus, everyone who enters will receive a FREE Elk101.com “All-Star” diphragm! Here’s how it will work:
1. Send in an audio or video clip of your elk calling sequence.* Sequence should be 45 seconds or less and include any and all elk sounds you want to include (cows mixed in with bulls, bugles, barks, mews…make us feel like we’re in the middle of a herd of rutting elk in September)!
2. All entries must be received by 5PM MST on Friday, April 22, 2011. Entries will be converted to an MP3 audio file and displayed anonymously (Caller #1, Caller #2, etc) at Elk101.com for open public voting beginning on Monday April 25, 2011. Voting will run through 5PM MST Monday, May 2, 2011. The top 3 vote-getters will be named the 2011 Elk101.com Internet Elk Calling Champions!
Caller #1 (Sample audio clip)
*To submit your calling sequence:
The simpest way to submit your calling sequence is to e-mail the Audio (MP3 or WAV) or Video (AVI, MOV, WMV, MPG2, MPG4, etc) file to [email protected]. For files that are too large to e-mail, a CD of the file may be mailed to: Elk101.com, 10910 W. Highlander Rd., Boise, ID 83709.
The easiest way to capture your calling sequence is through the use of a video camera. Simply video your calling sequence, download the file to your computer, and send it in! For help in downloading your file from the camera to the computer, visit the Forum or e-mail [email protected]!
